JARO Introduces Honeycomb™ BGA Heat Sink

BOCA RATON, FLORIDA: November, 2002
Like an actual honey-bee honeycomb, JARO's new line of BGA (Ball Grid Array) heat sinks was designed to keep the heat on the outside and cold on the inside. These heat sinks offer a wide range of cooling solutions for video cards, motherboards and networking applications. JARO's super-adhesive mounted version eliminates the need for mounting holes in the PC Board. These heat sinks can be used with either plastic or metal/ceramic BGA packages depending on tape used. In addition, the small size of the Honeycomb makes it ideas for small real estate applications.
Configurations are available for a wide range of BGA package sizes.
The new Honeycomb series runs $.85 each at 10,000 pcs.
The leadtime runs 6-8 weeks ARO.
